Current Projects chat and miscellany

Hello all,
Sorry for intrusion in discussions of any kind, but i was chased from the general forum to this thread.
Below are pix of my winter project - basically, Giant Bowery 72 frameset with alternative cockpit and crankset. I am looking to get a new set of wheels, so your advise on hubs/rims is well sought after. I get the feeling silver/chromed fork and chainstay are really getting in the way of everything, but does anyone think I can still go without having to repaint it?
In a nutshell: what rims/spokes/hubs combo should I get to go with this:
