not as odd as deep track sprint drops look with hoods placed there! seriously, the reach is huge because of the bars, even deep drop round bend road bars will bring you back by at least 20mm. and they can't be comfortable to ride the hoods, or are you always planning to be on the drops?

agreed. Swap the track bars out for road bars, drop the stem down a few spacers. You don't have to cut the steerer yet.
