Just for informations sake, if you plan on going to the track, everyone* at the track works out GI based on 27" tubs, so if someone says put 88, that would be 49x15.
48x15, 86GI is a good place to start unless you have done a lot of road racing or something before.
(100GI will be no use unless you plan on stayer racing)
Thanks guy, I'm going for 50x15 purely because i have a 50 tooth chainring and a 15 sprocket. And the 88 gear inches was based on 23mm clinchers. I won't be running tubs just yet.
