Right now right outside my window, The Queen Mary being towed very slowly down the river by three tugs. Apparently they're taking it to La Rochelle to become a floating luxury hotel. I used to have a monthly meeting on that. Good sandwiches. Well, lots of sandwiches which is good....
N.B this is the Clyde ferry Queen Mary that's been moored by Waterloo bridge for years not the mahoosive ocean liner of the same name. Still quite a substantial thing for the river. They're still going to have trouble getting it under Blackfriars bridge I reckon. All the masts and funnels have been cut off but they're sort of stalled waiting for the tide to drop by the looks of things.
