That's your opinion ... I think a law like this would prevent people from always assuming the cyclist is at fault. From what I remember it works well in Germany. Maybe it would prevent people from taking risks when overtaking etc as well? Or it wouldn't be so easy for lorry drivers to say "I didn't see him"?

The bit everybody misses is that the law, as proposed, would also automatically presume the cyclist was always guilty if they hit a pedestrian.
Festus, I hope you're OK man. The way you tell it is that you basically failed what the police call the attitude test. i.e. you didn't look like a victim. The ped and the truck driver probably did. Sucks but that's the way they are trained.
