Depressingly those Italian grass court players look faster than we do.

Good news is, I've found a court with a bit of potential for winter play so we can speed up again.

Bad news is, it got one open side.

Good news is, it's proper basketball court size.

Bad news is, it's in Gateshead and potentially a mission if people are feeling lazy.

Good news is, it's got big floodlights.

I can't work out how to save a Google map link but it's on the junction of Prince Consort Road and Edendale Terrace.

I'm busy from now til about 4 on Sunday but up for taking peopleover there for a scouting mission and a knock about after that...

Yeah, I know it's a bit of a mission but it's really a question of how keen people are to ride and play polo. If I know Newcastle polo people like I think I do, the answer will be simple - not keen enough.

But, if we all meet in town, we can go for a group ride out there. Might even be part of the enjoyment, you never know.

There wasn't anyone there btw and there's three big courts so should be guaranteed to play.

Matt, saw you last night weaving the crowd at the ridiculous festival-esque Saltwell Park. Fuckin' manic !

Can I just lob my opinion in and say, we rode up to Saltwell last night and heading up that way is actually a pretty cool ride, the ride home is WELL WORTH IT.

Yeah, turns out bike = bad idea on 5th November at Saltwell Park. Didn't find my mates til it was all over and nearly got punched for catching everyone's shins with my pedals. Good fireworks though

havn't been through to have a look yet. I'm spending a fortune of money I havn't got at the minute on petrol so I'm trying to ration my trips into newcastle. I have to go to shields tomorrow so I'm not gonna get through today. I'll check the places sometime this week though !

I feel bad as I havn't managed to get through. I really want to play but at the minute being out of work, the fuel costs backwards and forwards to newcastle are unmanageable ! :-( barring any unforseen circumstances I promise to play on sunday though !
