• As usual Rob Wise is amazing. Liked the footage from Iraq. Thought the article in this months ride was a pretty good read too !

I'm tempted to buy it just for that. Also for the STP interview, because he used to be one of my best mates back in the days of weekly Derby Storm sessions (haven't spoken to him for a couple of years though, oops) and it was always amazing to see him ride. He wasn't a trick ferret but the guy, would go twice as high as anyone else over Storm's jumpbox on his aluminium 2-hip Pork, throwing textbook tables and turndowns. Always an inspiring rider just because he was so positive and just loved going really fast and high. Made friends with Niki Croft through him as well (back when Niki used to ride a Free Agent Fortress and wasn't particularly good at riding). I should dig out some of the slides from various photo sessions with those guys, bit of nostalgia :D

Waffling-on-about-the-good-old-days-aside, Ride has been doing some excellent articles lately - I really liked that Hull article, as it wasn't just about riding it was quite educational, and interesting to see a brief socioeconomic history of a town, in a BMX magazine - rather than the usual boring 'we went to (place) and did some tricks, then we went soemwhere else and did more tricks' that I would never want to read.

Also that really useful roadtrip guide that I think was in the same issue. Brilliant stuff!

As much as I hate war and guns and killing, that Iraq demo was pretty ace.
