@dammit: me had success quitting using iron hard will power. me mates how ever, at least that one who succeeded as well, used Haribo to substitute the need to fiddle with something.
... but a word of caution, he started to exhibit strange behavioral glitches after 1.5 packs of these gum bears. my guess, it could be the sugary part or their content ;)
another theory is to not take it to serious, as in serious + the urge then fail and then being more and more discouraged, so rather treat it like a mood swing (or something, whot do i know about that psycho crap, i don't reflect myself every time i repeat once red bullsh... erm knowledge) in your mind and see to it to keep this mood up. blaaaah
my cousin howevah goes and gets her self a hypnosis session, where they try to substitute the urge to smoke with the need for a glass of water (or whotever you see fit cough ale giggels)
