I've always really rated the building and we've had a lot of LCC events there. The guys who work there are great, too. Perhaps part of the reason why it now attracts so little custom is because that yard next to it isn't available any more?
With bike parking sorted out, I reckon this could be a winner, but I'd have to ask the guys at the pub.
Failing that, I still recommend trying out The Horseshoe Inn in Melior Street.
