Beautifully done buddha, that's two utterly stunning bikes you now have.
Personally I'd rotate the bars upwards slightly, so that the ends of the bars are in line with the rear brake stay.

I have similar bars which are definitly more comfortable at the angle you describe.
They photograph better parallel with the floor though ;)

needs a drop stem no?

If that would mean compensating for the increased drop by pulling more of the stem from the head tube then no.
