Hi,im a newbie here, from Finland, and im now loosing my nerves with this Raleigh. Its some 62cm,hasnt beed driven ever,it was stripped off its bits and pieces when it was at importers storage for years.I dont know much about these m-trax frames, but its made out of reynolds 531 tubing, better than basic waterpipe atleast,i think.

i'm sorry that i have to keep spamming you with this. she's just really happy with it and thought it deserved a few good photos. so here comes
after testing a few saddles, she settled on the rolls - now to find one in white.
i hope some of you will forgive me and maybe a few will actually enjoy looking at these pics... -

I'm 6'3" but my height is mainly in my neck, what size frame do I need?
Just subract as many inches as you would need to get a 'normal' neck and go from there. You should then get the right size frame for a person who is 6'3" minus extraneous neck section. Then you could maybe get some sort of neck/head rest fabricated to stick onto the bars to help with head support :-)
Or just base it on whatever a 6'3" giraffe rides? Do they make giraffes that small, toy breeds maybe?

Thanks Kerley, I have raised the saddle. But I do have long legs and arms. I had a 60cm frame before this bike, but it was too small.
How much did you raise it by? I learnt the long way that small differences in saddle height make huge changes in ride comfort, power etc. Best to use some rule of thumb, like inseam measurement X 0.883, to get saddle height, then tweak it from there. -

the HHSB is coming together more and more each day, fitted the headset and forks today, T minus 9 days!
And you were crying, that it will make you broke :-) Just skip few dinners. Good work.

I'm still waiting for my rear wheel to be delivered....so I'm yet to ride it, so I I haven't set it up yet but I did the inseem measurement and I got 78.6cm (1d.p) so I don't think my 62cm frame is too small.

If you're riding on the road, panaracer pasela tg would be a good alternative, the Deda are a pure race tyres, really nice to ride on, but more prone to puncture (especially if you tend to ride too close to the kerb).
come in a good range of size, from a skinny 23c to a hippy 37c.

after nearly four months my pink ian piper lo pro is finally finished.. absolutely stoked with it, loved building it, hated waiting while I sourced straight chrome good steel 650c forks and things.. big thanks to retro di corsa for putting new thread on the forks and a few other things on Monday night, you're a gent Hutch... also thanks to Harry and Jan for enthusing along with me on a busy Sunday a few weeks ago and doing the '700 or 650?' tryouts.. much appreciated
the frame is more of an electric pink than the photos but you get the idea..
