No it is by product of being an elitist ... and being elitist is no good for anyone. I am guilty of being slightly elitist, but only in the fact that I believe everyone has a responsibility to educate themselves and not to just go "well I dunno anything about that, I don't care attitude" ... fat chance that is ever going to happen with a education system that is obsessed with teaching children and young adults how to pass an exams than giving them useful transferrable skills.
