'Winter riding jacket' might not be the best description for the fixed/bomber as it's not a pure technical garment. It's a nice looking jacket that happens to be more than adequate for riding in. I thought a lot about the kind of riding I'd be doing and thought it'd suit me well. If you want something really functional you'd be better off with their softshell (or equivalent) and layers, I would suggest.
