  • i always fancied a bit of grafitti in my hallway
not the " bazzer woz 'ere " type but some proper nice artwork

  • On a slightly related note I'm guessing people have seen 10Foot's 'addition' to the Old Street Banksy piece?

  • Crikey I remember seeing Known's work back when I painted in the '90s. I'm getting the urge to paint something now!

  • Who's done the tag below 'TOX07'?

He got banged up didn't he? Now he was a cunt, just tagged the whole of fuckin London changing the date numerically each year, always over other work and I never saw a piece just shit tags!

    http://www.souledoutstudios.com/TOX09print.html

Just found this on souledoutstudios, bang up to date but I am not sure I would pay this much for just a tag

  • Silly cunt - he must be well stupid. Taggin '09' all over the place....plod'll just go round his gaff and chuck him inside again!

I have a friend who is an amazing graf artist and does comission work, on wall and canvas. PM me for details.

    Some of his stuff:

  • known has just got his hands on a couple of tattoo guns if anyone is interested in becoming a human canvas. he has done some pretty impressive stuff but i haven't got photos. pm me if you're interested and i'll get the ball rolling...

  • Is that off the silverlink in Hackney wick?
(Old post to reply to I know)
Know Tiser. One of the best attitudes towards everything ever.
I know a few writers. A lot of writers are cocks. On the whole it's a bit self absorbed ego driven bullshit. (Massive generalisation)

  • Friend of a friends work.

  • Other snaps I have lying about, mostly friends stuff

AAGH were fooking sick when they were active in Bristol

    Old Bristol; Seza

  • Recognise a couple of them, lovely stuff

  • that known piece on the first page, think it was near london bridge? brings back memories. Always used to look out for it when i was on the train.

  • Friend of a friends work.

    I like both of these.

  • if you were 12/13 years old in 1983, into tagging etc, then the book 'Subway Art' would have been essential reading. They released a 25 year anniversary edition last year, its Thames and Hudson large format with some new photos, all those Seen pieces and the Bronx backgrounds make a super enjoyable package. now youre grown- up you can treat youself to it (if you didnt already....).

  • Early abstraction from Pinky of DRA, at a spot called 'Tracks' in Hull, 92. Happy when i saw this. Didn't know the guy when i saw it. Now an Old Buddy of mine.

  • I like both of these.

    Similar to the second one.

  • MUTATE Britain (One foot in the Grove) is worth a visit, some nice pieces on show underneath the Westway on Portobello Rd. http://mutatebritain.wordpress.com/

  • I present you Blu

COMBO a collaborative animation by Blu and David Ellis (2 times loop)[/ame]

  • nuknow, awesome man awesome- watch the clip.

  • here's a pic of me in '92 working on my second ever piece i had some real shitty tags i was writing "masha" then. i got told by petro that i couldn't write it any more because he wrote "hash" at the time and it was too similar. how i'd love to be painting in the sun again without a care in the world. happy days.

  • bloody hell, that video is extraordinary! people writing their name or "Kev4chantelle" are rightly mocked, but that is far better art than the last few years' worth of turner prizes. So many incredible images just disappearing one after the other. Top notch.

Disclaimer: author utterly ignorant about art.

I know a fair few things about art and I wholeheartedly concur. The only bit I didn't like was when they knocked a hole in that wall, but other than that it seemed a lovely piece of work. I particularly liked the effect of painting over each stage of the 'animation' before adding a new one. Not necessarily the most expressive art, but as a decorative and graphic piece, it's clearly first-rate. I wish we had more things like this in the public eye instead of the stupid stuff that's the art equivalent of headline-grabbing catwalk fashion and that masks the good work that's done elsewhere by genuinely passionate and committed people.

  • this was taken on the morning of my wedding, in the woods tn old brick works in deepest darkest surrey. at least a 100 pieces, all good.
