lessmann, there are locks that are £15 that would have protected your bike better. I'm not laughing, but the same way you got your second bike stolen, is the same as the first. You assumed the level of security you had was sufficient.
In the first case, garage storage, and you probably didn't check on your bike too regularly? Then a lock that could practically be bitten through by a Pitbull or an Akita - I'm kidding, but that was not nearly a reasonable lock to protect a bike.
I'd blame you 100% for the second theft, and you partially for the first. Instead of beating others up, I'd hope you beat yourself up......then get over to the Locks That Work thread, and at least read the original post of the thread. Read the whole thread if you have time. And, good luck with your next bike.
Don't use a light and flimsy lock when out shopping again, please. It was convenient for you, and even more convenient for the thief.
