    Bike locks are a constant balance between security and usability.

    True but trying to find that balance.

    The standards are an indication of the relative security, and, as such, are very valuable.

    There was a single type of Oxford lock that could be opened with a biro, if I recall.

    It was all oxford round keys and Kyrpotnite (sp) round key locks that failed by that mathod. Strangely the cheaper locks did not. K dmitted it and replaced the locks whilst oxford only replaced the locks after press preasure.

    Apart from the thread of stolen bikes and the locks that were used.

    Or Stolen bikes - lock database , as the locals like to call it.
