^ That takes me back. I spotted a pair of those Sidis on eBay just after I switched to clipless pedals. My heart was set on them. I watched the auction like a man obsessed, checking umpteen times a day to see who was bidding. My last-minute punt wasn't high enough and I missed out by a trivial amount in the end: less than a quid. * Narrow * fucking escape.
i think that might of been me :D £40 incl postage :D its called sniping my friend -

Pft. These are chrome shoes...

They look alot like converse. Which are fine, but single straps fuck the rubber sides quite quickly.

They're called Vittoria Uniques. Don't know much more about them. Only info I could find was on a 30th Anniversary black pair.

Vans Warner SPD, out soon
http://www.vans.co.uk/news/item/5222/introducing-the-warner-spd/
tempted, but want to see how heavy they are, my 661's weigh a ton.
Most of the time I wear northwave mtb shoes, but if i'm standing around a lot, I get pain in my right ankle the next day (due to club foot and weak achilles rather than the shoe)
As 'ru said though, they do look a bit 'special' -

Those Vans look like 'Special Shoes'!
-
• #120
I know, as someone who nearly had to wear them as a child - I'm not sure I can face them, want a shoe without laces as well.

Then get off your bike and get in your lovely VW Golf Harlequin:
Yes, those cars left the showroom looking like that...

they are possibly ok when used for their intended function to get a precise fit on a bike, but not some ridiculous angle that spanners the entire geometry and handling of the the bike
