I'm surprised no-one thought of that in the first place - I thought lawrence posted osmething about the weekely Wednesday sessions on there?

BTW you can add it as an event as well as in the forum. (edit... I just did that for ya)

  • Can someone shout me a mallet for tomorrow? Will have a swing with something borrowed before i create my own sabre. Cheers!

If there isnt enough mallets to go round I can bring a basketball to occupy those waiting for goes.

  • baldrick, AFAIK Fin has 2 mallets for sale, £5 each

  • na dude im 18 nd i go play. you should come down its allot of fun.
everyones safe nd helps you allong in learning.

  • s.hill i think ive met you and your mate :) - remember talking to you both outside sprocket cycles on the artsfest weekend

  • ahhh yeh that was me.
you sould come down man. i go every wednesday nd the sunday sessions if i can.

  • I cant believe I actually went to polo. Finally, a small amount of motivation.

Don't really wanna get the camera out around Calthorpe Park though, it's bare ghetto, mans dem was lookin rah shady. Hopefully it will rain pretty hard on Wednesday, but not hard enough to put people off turning up to the NIA. Did many people show up the last time it rained?

  • we only went to the nia once, when it wasn't actually raining, so it's unproven at this point.

it can feel a little bit 'edgy' down at calthorpe park but we haven't had anything approaching the bat-wielding bike-thieving group-of-ten-hoodies-charging events i've read about down in london's famous london.

for now calthorpe remains the best venue, and as long as there are a few of us there i don't think we'll get much more beyond asinine comments. i liked the young punks interrogating fin as to why he sounded so posh though...

yeah, james, come on down. lots of us are verging on pensionable ages, but are reasonably approachable. i don't think polo has any age limits.

i was thinking - if anyone knows somewhere like an old drained pond/fountain/paddling pool type thing that could be appropriated for poloing?

  • The one in the Custard Factory sprang to mind, but it's not always drained, and we'd probably get kicked out pretty quick. So err... no. :D

  • Hopefully it will rain pretty hard on Wednesday, but not hard enough to put people off turning up to the NIA.

just checked the weather and looks like its raining!

has anyone suggested the ncp car-park above toys r us if NIA doesn't work out? its not amazing but its sheltered and seems pretty quiet for central town.

theres gotta be a golden car park for polo somewhere in or close to town....do i take all bullrings car parks are no good? does millenium point have underground parking?? if anyone fancies an evening ride somepoint to cruise round town in search of the golden car park, holla.
