can i just say how nice it is from a novice's perspective to be in thick of it when you lot get going with your banter about bike knowledge and throwing around meaurements, ratios and circumfrences etc. i mean that, not being sarcastic... all this technical stuff goes right over my head, but i do love it. i'm learning soo much.

people make the mistake of photographing their bikes with the current set-up, if they put the saddle up and flipped the stem it would sell more easily.

• #19132
why you think it is worth a lot

Looks nice on the pics. Perhaps a bit worn, because used by a pro.

Eddy Merckx (who?) track bike
Gent, Belgium ... Who's that Eddy BTW ?
So that full bike is 350 Euros or is it an auction?
-
• #19141
Auction, no fixed end date, no upper or lower price limit.
I think the price will be doubled, at least.
This guy sells a lot and his prices are fair, I think. -

east London.'the frame has a few small dents mostly from leaning against walls' - are you sure it's made of 531 and not marshmallows or kittens or something?

@ TomBurtonArt
Could be Campagnolo dropouts, but can also be something else.
Hard to tell if no detailed pics are available. But does it matter? What is the added value of having Campag dropouts, except the emotional (?) value ?
Tecnociclo, Shimano, SUntour, Gipiemme, Vitus, Silva or any other dropout is nothing worse than Campagnolo.
Just be careful if the dropouts are stamped sheel metal instead of forged steel.
Usually that means that the rest of f&f are not very good, no need to talk about the components. You better check if the frame has horizontal or (semi) vertical dropouts, track forkends, long or short dropouts, with or without eyelets, etc. That makes more sense than the name in it.
By the way (tip free of charge): the pedals on the displayed bike have a reasonable value for collectors (if I see it correctly, Lyotard "Marcel Berthet").
