Bikes being stolen by London Bridge tube station
Walking past Natwest bank by Borough market this afternoon about 2.30pm saw 2 guys with a pair of large pliers attempting to steal a dark green Giant road bike with black helmet attached (it was locked up with a cable lock about the diameter of a bottle top). I confronted them and they casually walked across the road and hit inside a pub yard while I called the police. Unfortunately I had to go to a hospital appointment so couldnt stay to check they didnt do a runner, but at least they didnt manage to take it. I went back a few hours later to check they hadnt finished off the job and the bike was still there, but this time with 2 more dodgy fuckers scoping it out ( I can only guess they were friends of the other two!).
If you lock up by Natwest bank, make sure you lock properly, there's obviously a few bastards who are incredibly confident at cutting locks in such a busy place!
