If you can export it in GPX you can then re-import it into other mapping tools/software and devices.
For some reason my hand-held GPS(HTC Magic/mymaps editor) wouldn't accept bikenet or gmaps GPX exports. I had to create a Google maps account, import to there and then to my device.
A bit of faffing but got there in the end.
