42 x 16 with 170 cranks and 700 x 23 tyres.
Cruises nicely at 18-22 mph, and up to 30 just about on the downhills.
A bit of a struggle up the daily 1 in 6, but manageable.
If I lived in a completely flat area then I'd go up a bit, but seeing as I have the daily hill I don't want to kill myself.
