I'm going back to university in Edinburgh and want to get some new wheels because I'd like to keep my track wheelset for smoother roads than Edinburgh cobblestone.
I realise that wheels are strong enough to support a human body so they can probably withstand a slightly rocky road, but I would just feel more comfortable getting a new pair.
I can build my own wheels but am hopeless at deciding what parts to use...
Therefore if anyone has any suggestions and experience of cheap but strong hubs and rims please chip in... I would be super grateful for any help or advice. I guess I'd like to buy myself some deep section rims if there are any cheap ones anyone can suggest....Also I'd like a fixed/freewheel rear hub...over time Edinburgh hills can get so frustrating...
