Have had the Contacts for a whole year riding (almost) daily and i only had 3 punctures. At the end of the year i used their puncture warranty and got new tires.

Contacts come as standard on Ridgeback hybrids and they are sold only to maximise puncture repair revenue for Evans. Ran them on a singlespeed and remain the worst tyres I have ever had.
Randonneurs? My rear wheel this morning. No puncture.

^thats what I'm talking about! I actually like the randonneurs with the reflective strip...too bad wiggle doesn't have them on 28c with it

^^that happened to my cheap Performance Bike tires as well. what do i win?

My plug came with conti sport contacts, just had my 8th puncture in about 3 months, absolute fucking shit.
going to order some decent tyres today....... -
• #33
I have never had a pucture on a Conti sports contact. Inflate to 110psi.
And I dont dodge glass
-
• #34
Been running mine at the recommended pressure on the tyre.....
-
• #35
8th puncture in 3 months?
did you check the inside of the tyres for stray glass?
was there any spoke sticking out inside the rims?
is the rims itself defect-free?
etc. etc.
-
• #36
Yup nothing sharp in the rim or the inside of the tyre, on 5 of the occasions where I got flats I managed to find what cause them and each time it was small stones that had got lodged into the tyre.
It may just be bad luck, but I've never had a problem with flats before getting my current bike with these tyres!
-

Recommended pressure is 102psi. too low in my experience.
-
• #38
I've got the 700x32's on my bike, their website says recomended is 75 and max is 90 so I've been running them at 90, I'll give them one more go at a higher pressure and see how they fare.
-
• #39
Oh... mine are 28's... I run them 10psi over.
-
• #40
I'll give it a go and see how they get on, one more puncture and I am likely to flip out hulk style!
-
• #41
The higher the pressure the more likelihood of flats from sharp objects as the tyre will not deform around them so readily.
Probably.
-
• #42
Possibly.
-
• #43
maybe
-
• #44
Been running Gatorskins on the rear on most my bikes for over 3 years, NEVER had a puncture. All at 125/130psi
-
• #45
Ride more than 10mi a day. Conti suck balls.
-
• #46
You're an Aussie, you're opinions are invalid
-

Opinion not noted.

wheres that example involving high heels and drawing pins?
Conti travel contact 32mm, bullet proof, but like riding with a dead cat wrapped around your rims.

wheres that example involving high heels and drawing pins?
I really don't want to know what you get up to with high heels and drawing pins thanks.
-

Oh... mine are 28's... I run them 10psi over.
^^Same. 4 MONTHS, NO FLATS!
Shouldn't that be Perfect Rump
