• New track bike project.

Not so much of a project, it's going to be pretty easy. Most of the stuff is already there. Regular track bike for racing on the velodrome, mainly modern parts.

Got this baby today. Same as with all other babies, it's ugly when you get it.
It was not for free, but for rediculously little money. Seller even has a 2nd one to go...

Frame and fork Columbus steel. Roto BB-shell, possibly Cinelli fork crown, Campag dropouts. Made by a guy named Regter. Think he moved to Ireland in the 1980's. He made Reco frames. I worked with his son in law, but never met the man himself. Frame was custom built for Aart van de Kruisweg and he won loads of national track championships. Later, the bike was used by Peter van Ommen, also a track ace in NL.
    Frame size 58.5cm c-t-t, top tube length 57cm c-t-c
I went for the F&F only, but for the same price I got the whole bike:

    • Sugino cranks 151mm BCD 165mm length with 5 rings!!!
    • Campag BB English thread
    • Campag Record Strada threaded headset
    • Campag Record 27.2mm seatpost
    • Very good condition Rolls black saddle
    • Cinelli 65-42 bars w/o scrathes
    • Cinell1 1R stem 13cm
    • DID chain 1/8
    • Suntour 16T cog
    • C-Record pedals with Campag steel toeclips "L" and double Vetta Sprint straps
    • Wheels: Mavic Track hubs, 2x36 DB spokes, tied and soldered, Pariba Clinchers, Rigida SX 100 clincher rims never used with brakes .

Think I'll powdercoat F&F glosssy black with some vinyl artwork from porter7474 (???)

As mentioned before, some parts will be sold to compensate for the other costs.
Anyone interested in track wheels, crankset, rings, BB, stem ???
Perhaps it will be placed in the Classified section.

    nice frame
