That would suggest that i need a 56cm frame then... and my fuji at HH is 56cm as well.

The full built track elite is a hell of a lot of bike for £2500!
-
• #31
All is suddenly looking up! The fuji track pro is still there in a 56cm but they had a website problem so it didn't appear...
And i am booked in to go and see the bikewhisperer guys next week prior to ordering just to confirm the size i should get...
Awesome.

Just in time for it to sit in your living room for 5 months...

• #34

Can we get him a girlfriend? Or does he already have one?
-
• #38
do girlfriends make you slower!?
-
• #39
Allegedly, yes.
-
• #40
Yes!
-
• #41
Well that's my excuse...
-
• #42
I concur.
-
• #43
It will look pretty good in my living room! I know just the place for it.
Actually think i might be getting slower without a girlfriend. But that could be the extra time you can stay out drinking!

Choice is for cranks 170 or 165. Isn't 165 more usual? Thoughts and opinions?
-
• #45
165 for indoor tracks. Definitely go with 165s
-
• #46
165s for sure, 170s for outdoor velodromes or time trialling, but it makes sense to have the versatility to be able to take your bike to other 'dromes
-
• #47
So if i have 170 cranks on my bike can i use my bike at Newport??
Good luck in getting the bike James.
-
• #48
I believe that you would not be able to. Though don't quote me on that!
-
• #49
I think 165 max is the official line for Manchester and Newport. Weather or not thats bendable I don't know.

which ever you prefer would be fine.
those fujis have higher than normal bottom bracket. 45mm drop instead of 50-55mm. so that should give more than enough pedal clearance with 170 if you want to ride reeeaaalllly slowly.
And i'm pretty sure many of the world class endurance riders use 170mm now, unless they are short.
One thing high bottom bracket does is higher centre of G, which affect stability of the bike a bit. 170mm would compensate that a bit, I would imagine.
You need to check the frame measurements. My Planet X is a Med and its 56cm. I am 5.10. And i was on a Large fuji . A 58 might be OK in the fuji Pro. I would ask velodromeshop first..
