I've suffered badly with eczema, got it totally under control in the end by stopping using steroid cream (I'm convinced this makes it worse in the long run) and just moisturising with an emollient like diprobase works - like Booby Dids said.
You shouldn't need to worry too much about allegic reactions to scar reduction stuff if you have eczema (as opposed to contact dermatitis). Are you sure it is eczema, have you had patch tests?
