I asked as well and was told by a PCSO that she died at about 7am. 7.5 tonne lorry. Looks like it could have been turning left. Very sad.

Very sad news. I went through there as well this morning and saw the roads closed, didn't stop to ask why. They'd also closed Leman Street (my usual route) heading South from Aldgate East, no idea why.

I asked the officer if it was a cyclist as i could see helmet/courier bag in the road.
He informed that it was a fatality but couldn't confirm male/female.
Very very sad start to the morning.
