Ahem.......I'm on 24 inch singlespeed with a freecoaster for tricks now.
For me the whole fixed tricks thing was a bit of experimentation....a bit of fun, i've come to the conclusion that it is still fun however I found myself drifting more and more back to bmx type stuff (which is what I spent the last 10 years before that doing) and wanting to hit skateparks again, which is more fun on singlespeed.
On the plus side I don't think my fakie riding would be anywhere near as good as it is now if I hadn't have taken up fixed gear tricks, so I did get something pretty cool out of it :)
I still think what a lot of the guys out there are doing is cool, I just want to get back to not having to worry about crank timing before tricks and something more flickable with smaller geometry more akin to a bmx, hence getting on the 24 inch, as it gives me the bmx feel but with a better riding position for my screwed shoulder.
