wmialil : Just saw a transaction for your bike happening today (5pm Approx.) as I was walking home with girlfriend. DEFINITELY your bike. I saw a short stocky individual dressed in adidas tracksuit bottoms stood with it and commented to the wife that it was probably stolen (Guessing that a guy like that wouldn't have that bike, generalising I know) As we got closer a young oriental acne-faced hipsteresque fellow came out of HACKNEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE and handed him cash. The seller then walked off towards Pitfields. The new owner was walking the bike along with another (presumably his 'old' one he'd ridden to school on) towards Old Street. If I would have been 100% certain there and then I would have grabbed it. I knew I'd seen it up on here, came straight home to check! Anyways I asked the oriental guy if he had just bought the bike and he said yes... I also asked how much he had paid and he nervously said 150 pounds. He was really shitting himself and then tried to ride off on his bike carrying the Condor on his back.
Anyway I'll send a PM with my number if you want the details, I'm more than happy to help you get it back! It's pretty safe to say the guy who now has your bike is a student at HACKNEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE and it might appear locked up there! I would recognise the kid again easily!.
PS. it is exactly the same, Hson deep section rear black on freewheel, white forks etc Only change it has some shitty black bullhorns on there now!
always wondered. say you see a bike you know is yours or belonged to a friends, are you legally allowed to walk up and grab it? anypone ever done this?

if you have proof of ownership, yes.
do NOT at any circumstance (unless it's for your life) give him any money to 'compensate' his trouble, it's the only way you can teach cunt like that a lesson.

This was nicked out of my back garden in notting hill last night.
It's a bit different now, Black ridgid forks, f.u.n.n. saddle with orange rails, Halo wheels white rims, rear mech and a bit of tire over the chainstay.
The frame numbers M1039 so it's frank the welders 39th production bike after tests and team frames.
please help me find her

what is disc lock any way? picture?

Why-oh-why-oh-why aren't more people using a disk alarm lock and another lock, to secure 2 or more bikes together? Move one, and the alarm sounds.
A fantastic solution for bike on fire-escapes, or in communal halls, as well as within earshot outside a pub.

CTC President Jon Snow's bike was stolen last week:
There's a reward.
Saw Jon Snow looking a bit lashed, seemingly attacking a bush whilst trying to lock up a bike on Monday night. All duchamp tie-ed up after the news.

Found a good alternative to ball bearings for securing hubs. I've superglued small nuts into the allen key slots of my track nuts. To remove them i screw a bolt in, pushing out the nuts:

Hi Guys & Girls,
Apologies in advance if this is the wrong place for this thread, using the search function I couldn't find a single ''stolen bikes'' thread, and all the other related threads seem to have been posted in general. If i'm in the wrong place please let me know where I can get the word out.
As for the stolen bikes, my girlfriend & flatmates bikes were stolen out of our garden wednesday night... girlfriend is really gutted (and I am too since I built it for her!), and of course its totally my fault since a momentary lapse in paranoia allowed me to leave it in the garden in the first place.
The bikes are: 1. a white On One Pompino in 49cm size, with the decals taped up, silver riser bars with teal grips and a fat grey / blue bmx stem, and a white charge saddle. Wheels are alexrims cheapies.
- fairly standard blue threaded model Fuji Track, size 52cm, with silver risers and white ourys.
If you see either of these bikes on brick lane or when doing your usual rounds on ebay or gumtree please please give me a message or email on c.ferstad[at]gmail.com
They were stolen out of the back of our house on wilton way (in dalston), next to the prince george pub, many of you will know this one ;)
we all know the moral of the story for this and other too frequent tales... i'm kicking myself REAL hard on this one. UGH.
Thanks a lot for reading, and thanks for your help...!

Bad luck on the thefts, I hope the scumbags have the fleas of a thousand camels infest their arses.
However, UTFSThanks

FFS, give him a break.
Is anyone missing a blue bike with blue velocity, and/or an entirely white bike, white rims, and what could be something like a white concor? Both fixed gear.
