  • Apart from the obvious "Glossy Photos" and "Beth Ditto" threads I'm not 100% aware of any real sexism on the forum. As Greasy said, the girls that are on here, however few, and doing great things, for the forum and cycling in general.

The problem in my eyes is that we have become swamped by Purile Nonsence, a la DMC's post about the repeted questions and inane crap. (maybe we need to revise the Nursery and highlight the UTFS function and that most question have already been answered)
Don't get me wrong, the humor was one of the first things I enjoyed about this place, before I got involved with the 'Real World' side of it.

I hate the way that it's all getting too angry. No one can voice an opinion without a fight breaking out. It's always going to be male dominated, cycling has been from it's conception, but the more equal it gets the better.

I get your point Fred, and totally agree, but I'm also in agreement that it's maybe not our place to point it out 'on behalf' of the female members.

It seems that the Forum is reaching a turning point. Lots of original members are not contributing anymore due to the amount of bullshit, and we are getting hundreds of new members every week wanting to learn and get involved.

Anyone who cares about the Forum and the community that has developed because of it should do their best to keep it a classy, fun and informative place.

And while the weather is this good we should ALL be out riding!
