This course gives students an opportunity to draw in a variety of unusual and interesting environments; to capture objects and events at the living moment and to create images with a sense of place. We will visit sites of activity and creativity such as rehearsal rooms, restaurants and busy public spaces. This will encourage students to feel comfortable drawing in busy London environments with a particular emphasis on how to achieve a sense of place, depth, harmony and rhythm.
The aim of this course is to encourage the students to discover their own visual language for interpreting the fourdimensional world of figures, both static and mobile, onto a two-dimensional surface.
Please note that the class times may vary slightly for the occasional class on this course. This is due to the nature of the course and the importance of coordinating with rehearsal rooms so students can get the most out of the class. We ask that students remain flexible during the course so we can provide a good variety of drawing opportunities on this unique course.
