I'm gonna guess. But I'd say none.
If you are on a fixie you are automatically a well good rider in it. -

IMy argument is that 90 percent of the lycra wearing fools today were fat, slow and obviously unfit. Posers, in other words..

I was wondering which thread to bump to post this and this seemed apt.
It seems like the constituents have had enough:
Dear Resident,
I wanted to let you know about an important public meeting I am arranging for Wednesday, December 17th, at the Duke St Church in Richmond. The topic will be cycling - and in particular the rising tensions between cyclists, motorists and pedestrians in Richmond Park.
It will be an open forum, and the purpose is simply to explore solutions to a problem that is raised with me by constituents on a near daily basis. I hope that by crowd-sourcing the problem, interesting and valuable solutions will be offered up, and to that end, I warmly invite you to come along and contribute.
I will chair the meeting, and have assembled a panel of representatives from Richmond and Kingston Councils, the Royal parks, and the police.
Event details:
Date: Wednesday 17th December - 7:30pm
Location: Duke Street Church, Quadrant Rd (off the Green), Richmond, TW9 1DHI very much hope to see you there,
Best wishes,
Zac Goldsmith

Hippy for prez!

^^^ Ooh, that'll be fun. Luckily I expect a sum total of fuck all to come from it other than maybe a temporary increased presence of Parks Police for a few weeks afterwards.
Someone needs to get a speeding ticket for cycling too fast and then have the balls (and money) to challenge it to see if the law really does limit cyclists to 20mph.
-

Urgh Zac Goldsmith is an insufferable cunt and by the looks of that panel they want to ban cycling in the park or confine bikes to the off road cycle lane.
-
• #95
Well, best that any regular RP riders get themselves in their to defend their right to paaaaaarty.
-
• #96
Fuck him, he doesn't want people to pay for parking in Richmond Park.
@Greenbank Someone needs to get a speeding ticket for cycling too fast and then have the balls (and money) to challenge it to see if the law really does limit cyclists to 20mph.
If I ever get fine (got caught a dozen time but never fined), I'll do exactly that, only problem is the money.
You don't even need to work at it, just relax and let the bike go over 20mph.

The CDF may be interested, otherwise you could probably publicise it and collect donations to fund the fight.
-
• #98
Wait im confused. Are we crowd sourcing money for bike speeding fines?
-
• #99
Never mind all that. I need to know how to do this!

@pooface http://road.cc/content/news/95155-are-police-fining-speeding-cyclists-richmond-park-exceeding-their-authority
It's not clear whether it's legal or not to fine cyclists for speeding in Richmond Park.
The only way to find out for sure is to get a ticket and then challenge it in the courts.
:(
I like LBS wars.
Maybe we could pitch them against each other in a series of challenges. On Track, Trail, and Street, then make a reality tv programme about it. Channel 4 go crazy for this kind of shit.
