I bet more people have been stabbed to death in London over the last 10 years than killed by terrorism. These articles are utter wank, just a bored, talentless, doodler manipulating statistics to scaremonger.
The first article has been posted before. I believe Ms Devlin got a heap of deserved abuse, 'orrible cnut she is.

This is a really bad study.
I think he has been reading this book.

Of course, its not really that unexpected from the the torygraph. Perhaps the Mail will pick it up and run with their own take on it: CYCLING IS NEW TARGET OF WAR ON TERROR
Which may not be that far from the truth, since cycling avoids propping up the oil industry, and we all know what the 'war on terror' is actually about, right?

They believe that a “dread” effect, that people swapped their form of transport because they were too frightened to travel by tube, was to blame.
ie: Terrorism is having its desired effect, causing fear (terror) to such an extent that peoples' behaviour changes.
This does not mean that bicycles have become some kind of homicidal inanimate object.

I don't have a problem with moderate bicycles who live and let live. Its the extremist and fundamentalist bicycles that hate my way of life and abuse their female counterparts i hate!!!!

Although having said that the moving target link hasn't been brought up before so cheers for that and well done to Bill for emailing Ayton - bizarre stuff.

I read somewhere (so it must be true) that some students bike was cordoned off by police in the USA because they had a TBIAPB sticker on their frame.

to be honest i have been wondering why my web history includes the anarchist cookbook whenever i leave my bike alone in the house.

YouTube - Terrorist on a push bike
Just needs a rucksack full of explosives
and fundamentalist islamic ideals, and less conspicuous methods.
the article seems more like an attempt to wave for attention. But surely it shouldn't come as a surprise that anything is more dangerous than terrorism in the UK. As for it causing more deaths because more people cycled, ludicrous. A little war in Afghanistan would like to disagree.

But surely a fundamental bike is a... fixed gear?
Duhh duh DAHHHH.
We are the terrorists of the cycling community.

looks like Bristol is breeding them as well, damn terrorists.
“But if you asked which killed more people in the last 10 years in London, international terrorism, or bicycles, the answer would definitely be bicycles"
And other really badly worded statements based on seriously flawed and flimsy "research"...
