the bass is nice, but not amazing.. it plays acoustic music better .. older stuff. the newer Tannoy HPDs play electronic, bassy stuff better, but mine are 40-50 years old! i don't like heavy bass anyway so i'm not too bothered. the sound is really warm and lifelike, though! a friend of mine has the same ones but with big 15" drivers, chest high .. nicest speakers i've ever heard. the bass is really 'in sync' with the music .. it's hard to explain .. never sounds too light or overpowering, always sounds just right..
