yesterday on the old kent road a motorcyclist riding one handed tried to overtake/pass me on the inside. i didnt allow them to do it and as they continued up the road i noticed why they were riding with one hand ............. he was holding a lit cigarette! i caught up with him at the next set of traffic lights as he was puffing away (full face helmet with the visor up) and put my bicycle across his path and asked him to put his cigarette out and have a bit more consideration for other road users (or words to that effect)
the lights changed to green and he just moaned out loudly "what you doing" and sped around me clipping the kerb but staying upright.
sadly i couldnt find a police officer. surely its some kind of offence to ride a motorcycle and smoke even though its not to do the same and drive a car - not yet anyway.
