I picked up this thread from the CCC web-site. As a woman cyclist, I would be very annoyed if someone set up men only rides. I dislike discrimination in any form.
Just like there are many men-only rides, there should also be women-only rides. When riding with faster men, women sometimes don't enjoy the speed, and quite apart from the speed, I'm told that sometimes women dislike the atmosphere of a ride that is heavy on men. I don't know where you get the impression from that there could be discrimination in setting up this ride?
