Well I'm switching between a few at the moment to try and find out which is most comfortable for me.
For about 6 or 7 months I was using this:
An SDG seat (which I think was originally designed for XC MTB). I nicked it from my bro when he left home and it was pretty good up until I started getting sores using it. Width at the back - 120mm. It's a pretty firm ride.
I then bought a Charge Plug which came with this saddle:
The Charge Stool saddle (it's what I'm currently using because it's got a bit more padding but is not really that comfortable). Width at the back - 120mm.
I did at one point try this bad boy:
Which is an old saddle from a 20 yr old Peugeot or Raleigh. It says Middlemores on the back of it and that's all I know. It feels really thin to ride and is a little squishy. Width at the back - 100mm.
I'm really hoping at this point you're going to give me a magical answer to my sore arse! I also wonder whether my position on the bike makes much of a difference. I'm currently using drops, but I using have risers on.
