North London Road Riding- A Sunday Club for Women

How about it?

A women only club that goes out every sunday, maybe if there are enough of us we could each take turns leading a 50 mile route (perferably a geared bike ride, tbh).

We could meet every sunday at the dalston lane cafe for a coffee, then head out.

Any interest? Let's start a list and if we have enough, then let's start doing it.

I am excited!

We could do a ride to Hillingdon on October 3rd if people are up for it... there's a race day on. The 'October Festival of Racing' in fact. It's a decent ride there and back (somewhere between 20 and 25 miles from Dalston) and should be good fun. Plus people could race if they want... you need a BC licence but the organiser is encouraging novice ladies to take part. I'm happy to sort out route and lead if people are up for it.

We should do Epping and Rainham and Southend and Cambridge and stuff too. eee!

I was going to do the recce route to Rainham for the 50 fixed women ride this weekend so we could do that on Sunday? Only problem is I am fairly likely to get everyone lost.

Lost is ok.

I was hoping for a proper start, IE before 9. Brixton Cycles club meets at half 8, on the road for 9, I think it works well for them.

So, half 8 meet up, dalston lane cafe, this sunday and every sunday.

AWESOME.

I can't do this Sunday, GP commitments. Bendix I do have a nearly working GPS solution now that in theory wont get us lost (it's garmin but not as you know it)
If you get the Rainham ride into Mapmyride, I'll download it and test it myself to see if I get lost :-)

That sounds like a great ride, maybe pick a sunday and claim it so that you can lead a ride in a month or so.

I'll take next sunday since tricity is leading this sunday.
