Spotted...

a police car crossing goes across my way on a green light, I'm pulling an emergency stopping and doing a weird double bounce/skid. Was tempted to side swipe the idiot and see what happens!

So they were running the red? Which means they had their siren or lights on which means you didn't see or hear them as you entered the intersection, which means.. observation fail. I hope you have brakes and slow down until you can read the traffic a bit better.
