1 to everyone who said buy the Alliums, and spank cash on a decent shoe - i have been riding my Alliums for just over a year now, no probs.
Also have a set of the Z freeride pedals, which i find to be about the best pedal i have used for around town, as the platform has enough room for you to unclip and keep going in a sketchy situation, and you never miss a clip in. Of course being BMX style they wont suit every build, but i love em, and they weigh about the same as the Alliums.
I recently needed to get hold of another set for a new bike, and thought i would drop a bit of cash on a higher ROC model as i thought they would be all singing and dancing, but they weren't noticeably lighter or better until you drop well over 100 quid, so just got another set of alliums
