  • That's the first time I've heard that phrase used in a movie review.

I thought the same. Who wants to see realistic levels of rape??!?

I was trying to say realistic for a crime film.

All the murder victoms hade been raped (well it was a crime film). The leading lady was mentally scarred from being abused by her dad.
The leading lady joins the crime solver guy, after being raped by her paroll officer (whom she raped after out of revenge).
The main witness had been raped by someone other than the main offender (why she was slow coming forward).
The crime solver guy had history with a work collegue, and at it appeared she'd had some sort of bad experiance (mrs could'nt remember from the book).

I think thats all the female characters covered. Thing is, despite the authors childish attempts to shock, it still somehow manages to be boring.
