That would be nice, or maybe go another way with 1 pink, and 1 purple Deep V B43?

Those beautiful hubs have been around since the late 70's and transcend time.
Any rim will do but it really depends on which bike they're going on.
I have a few sets, all with black anodized rims.
Try to find some rims also made by MAVIC.

Aha. That's what I've been thinking about.

Try to find some rims also made by MAVIC.Yes, would be an obvious choice. Can't really find anything right now, old ones like MA2s and stuff just too pinny pinny and not enough weldy weldy. I have some CXP14s that aren't really doing much ... Maybe I should save a few quid and lace those...

skully, tour de ville have some ambrosio nexus i think they're called, box section, charcoal, in 36h, would go great with those hubs, understated like.
I don't know why you don't just pop into tourdeville and take whatever they have as it'd suit you sir, and the hubs down to the ground.. -

I love those regular old Mavics...dunno, not tall or anything, just silver. Had 'em on my '84 Bianchi. Lovely.

Well. I got Ambrosio Excellence last week, silver. From some kind of wholesaler. A weird-looking house in deepest Harlesden. When I knocked on the door I thought it was a dolies' B&B. Went in and the whole first floor was a mini warehouse and all I could see were stacks of shiny 10 speed cassettes on shelves.
Weird but true.

Did you go there because just about everywhere else has them in black?

Good choice. My Excellights built up so easily, I can see why Ambrosio rims have such a good reputation. And they feel great, despite being a shitload heavier than my IRD Niobiums.

Predestined, by the looks of it.

What clinchers would you put on these? No black or coloured stuff, available in 36h ...
