my fg gitane has carbon forks so i won't play on that in case it breaks (it already has a horrible case of the creaks that needs sorting) but i'm up for having a go on my rather more robust SS mtb. Maybe tomorrow if I can finish work early but if not definatly next week. Still 6.30 Calthorpe Park?

I quite fancy having a bash, can't do tomorrow but hopefully the following week. My 8 speed has come out of retirement for a cycle instructor course so I'll prolly take that.

youre the third person so far who's tried to convince me to get some sort of metal limb. WTF?

• #112
yer I'm up for polo tonight
-
• #113
excellent turnout tonight, well done all. 7 people 'playing' polo in birmingham. who'd've thunk it?
-
• #114
"playing" was definately what I did. By the time I left I felt reasonably confident that I could not crash into people if I wanted to. Now, hitting the ball on the other hand ... I'll be back after Italy, good game everyone.

sikkk game. I'm gonna change my username to MVP now

• #116
goddamn every wednesday some other shit keeps me from going out! next week i swear!
-
• #117
ben, i'd happily vote you mltfdunpw - most likely to foot down under no pressure whatsoever. although half of my igor-love was probably due to the fact he would foot-down at will and not tap out. sneak.
-
• #118
OI! The ball being in the corner of the basketball court CLEARLY counts as pressure.
-
• #119
At least your signature move wasn't crashing into a player on your own side.
-
• #120
True, my signature move is scoring goals like a P.I.M.P.

tomorrow night, it's on.
weather looks fine: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/wm/birmingham_forecast_weather.html

another excellent turnout tonight - 8 people all playing at once on the b-ball courts despite numerous cricket/small child/rude-boy-yoot distractions. plus we must be getting better because two peoples' wheels are fucked and both of my wrists hurt. next week is 7.30 kick off, and i for one reckon it would be cool if someone took a few photos in order to inspire those unfortunate enough to live outside of the moseley/selly park/kings heath axis of beauty

i should have really, ive been meaning to since day 1. nothing stopping me tonight apart from the fact that i forgot. again. duh.
-
• #124
yeah man, good session last night. proper carnage.
quick question, do we have more than 1 ball? if turnouts gonna be regularly decent (like last night) and we've got the court, maybe we could try two smaller games?? just an idea....
-
• #125
^thb I don't think that'd really work, playing on the same court widthways. If anything, once we get enough people who play regularly it'd be better to have polo on different nights and in different places. I'd definitely play more than weekly even if I do have to come all the way from north.
^ Yep, if its not raining too hard.
Also can people ask around for ski poles and keep an eye out for piping on building sites,
just tell me ill come and pick it up.
