1st day Lord's 2005. Aus 191 all out. Eng 21-5 at stumps. Eng still lost.
yes they did (lets not forget they won the series :-) ) but because they failed to make a score in the second innings. but my point being that a bad session doesn't mean an instant loss, you only have to see the way the last 2 draws have been achieved to see that.

Gordon Brown writes. "I think hard-working families up and down the country will be proud and will recognise how the England cricketers have fought through the difficult morning session and emerged into the far brighter afternoon session their hard work so richly deserves. After all, England lost seven wickets this morning, and predictions suggest they cannot possibly lose more than three this afternoon, so recovery is obviously just around the corner."

Harmison better bowl brilliantly now.
Realistically though, off to the Oval for a series decider.

I left for lunch saying "awww we're not gonna get 'em all out for 100".

And Anderson, sounds like its swinging a bit. We need to skittle them for 150-175 or its down to the Oval

Ponting, Hussey and Clarke are unlikely to capitualte as meekly as Bopara, Bell and Collingfuckingwood.

Having lost 1 wicket for 14 runs in 2 overs, I have been able to extrapolate our projected total and predict that we will be bowled out for 140 runs before tea.

5.5 Steve Harmison to Ricky Ponting, 4 runs. He hits a nice boundary backward of square on the off side -
