Two things:
Was the play, in general, at the weekend boring?
If you get in to checking, hacking, at some point you will get retaliation for perceived 'unfair' challenges. As I said before, the line seperating a legitimate hack from a wild attack, and a fair check from a violent assault, is very subjective.
