  • Not at all. You don't need big lorries in central London, it's not that big an area, they could transfer deliveries to smaller (ideally electric) vehicles to do the last few miles.

    Practically speaking a ban on 'killer' lorries would be much quicker and easier to implement, I imagine.

    I've always had this crazy idea that all HGVs should be banned from london, but people say it's too extreme, I wonder if people would think it was too extreme to ban any lorry that has killed either a pedestrian or cyclist?

    (perhaps until the company the lorry worked for has given extra training to all it's drivers)

    That way drivers that killed people would be a liability to the company , giving companies a reason not to employ dangerous drivers?
