Posting in anti-porn at least gives some feedback on what to do to make it a finished article.
Why not do that in Current Projects, when that's where the owner has posted it? Posting it in P/A-P makes a pretty definitive statement of whether you consider it bloody wonderful or bloody awful. Not exactly constructive.

Because I don't read that thread. Somebody posted it in Porn, which is where I picked it up. I note that there has been little or no complaint about its being posted in Porn, reinforcing the prejudice that it is only OK to make positive comments on forumengers rides, while anonymous fgg bikes can be slagged off at will. Max is man enough to take it, so the double standard exists to protect the feelings of lesser men, who need to HTFU

I might have them off you, as I will be using the bike on the track as well as the road.
A stem wouldn't go amiss, either.
I'll bring the bars and stem with me when you come for the saddle, cough.

shrugs
The post immediately after it in the porn thread was "ffs its not even finished", which I guess would suggest a) it's a current project, and b) that's a complaint about it being posted there. But I'm really not bothered about the notion of criticising forumengers' bikes, I'm all for it. No double standard. It was just the inappropriateness of doing so in porn/anti-porn.
I'm like this bothered.

all valid points
this bike will bring controversy i think
Like about the fact that it's not actually a Merckx? :)
I could be wrong, but i've yet to see a Merckx lo-pro that wasn't lugged...the dropouts are different, the seat clamp is different, their are none of the usual Merckx markings on the frame, BB (usually have shapes underneath and a strengthening web behind), seatstays, bridge as far as i could see in the original pics.
If i'm wrong and it has definate Merckx features then you have my apologies.
It's a nice frame anyway whatever it is so i hope you enjoy it once it's set up how you want. -

Merckx or not, as long Max enjoy it and that's all that matter.

• #4884
which is what i said.

yes I was concuring with you! didn't made that clear, whoop.

You would think so, but the fork crown looks like one of those ultra-skinny track only jobs which might take offence at being drilled.
bugger so it does...
On the other hand, crap which has no hope of redemption isn't anti because it isn't a good bike ruined, it's just a crap bike living up to its destiny. Obvioulsly, as with porn, the definition of anti porn is contested, so that's just my view of the applicable criteria.
+lots
I still have sleepless nights regarding the lovely blue pinarello (we all know the one). That was a great bike totalled fecked.Maxcrowe I love the colours BTW, but then I love marmite. Mind you I have a colour splash bar tape fetish, so my opinion is probably not worth too much :)

You could climb a fucking wall with that sprocket!
-
• #4891
Would you actually even get anywhere? Surely you'd spin like hell go minimal distance and then lose your balance.
(Cue someone with good maths/gear ratios knowledge to work out if this is correct)

Seatpost looks to past the isertion mark, and shimmed too. Stem also flirting with the safety line. Completely inapproprite tyre choice with respect to the original purpose of the frame, ditto the bars. No brake, despite the obvious intention to use it on the road. The bike is not fit for purpose, and not fitted to the rider. Oh, and the colorway suckz too.
well i like it

At a guess, the gear is between 3" and 4". That would give a speed of about 1mph at 100rpm, which is ridable if you have decent balance, albeit utterly pointless.
