  • So, are you bored of fixie skidder tricks then James? Giving polo a try instead? ;)

Not so much bored, its a combination of things I think, I used to captain a sponsored tournament paintball team, but the time, frequent travelling, is now impossible with the way things are with my work, but....I do miss being part of a team doing something I enjoy.

I've played polo a few times and it is damn good fun :)

I tried to fill the gap left by my bmx with fixed gear tricks, however everything is loads more effort, and i'm hankering for something built for street riding thats like the bmx but a little bigger, so i'm buildin a 24 inch rigid street mtb with a freecoaster for that "mad fakie shitâ„¢" that I enjoy so much, seems like the perfect compromise.

Besides, all I have to do to make my bike "polo ready" is sort the gearing, so gonna have a hunt for a bmx 36t chainring which should be put down to 54-55GI which I reckon will be just dandy!

James, you're way off mark on that. Much though I love G-Sport (and use one of their front hubs on my polo bike) the ratchets have tiny cogs at the back, trying to get a suitable ratio would involve a tiny cog at the front. Too much torque and an expensive mistake.

Now if you'd said NOS G-Sport homer with 10mm axle (respaced to 120) then I'd have agreed with you.

Fairplay I didn't think properly about the gearing side of things actually, those homers were sick bits of kit, 90's bmx rocked!
