andy roxburgh said that senderos was the best under 18 player he's ever seen, this was in the under 18's euros which the swiss won in 2000.. roxburgh was tech director for fifa back then and knows his shit, its a shame he hasnt matured into the player he should be, however... rio at the same age was similar in the mistakes he made although his distribution and confidence were always high.
senderos to me doesnt utilise his physical strength like he should for a centre back, plus the psychological damage from what drogba has done to him over the last few seasons has killed him.. every big striker knows they can roll him and intimidate him.. and for a centre back thats no good. i suppose arsene and arsenal have to take a lot of blame for that as over the last few years they've not really had the types of defenders which can bring youngsters up.. campbell, toure, gallas are not defenders defenders.. i suppose campbell is, but he's not the most talkative of defenders... adams, bould, dixon etc would have disciplined and nurtured senderos a hell of lot more.

it's a shame senderos goes missing once a game usually when the ball is just about to hit the onion bag
£30 mn for alonso with possible add ons
18 million for aquilani ( who ever he is ) and £12mn for the scummy yanks to put in their back pockets or for another couple of players
come on benitez throw a strop or threaten to leave and get yer mitts on the moneyany know if christian poulson is any good ? another midfield target for us ... danish midfielder @ juve

+1
Senderos will do okay, Moyes has the knack.. communication is key for everton at the back.. i will watch him with new eyes, when arsenal visit..
being swiss he probably speaks about fifteen languages now including ghanian, ivory costal, french, polish, spanish, czech, croatian, brazilian, russian, dutch, cameroonian.. the swear words at least..

Poulson is tidy but Alonso keeps your team ticking, most complete midfield distributer in the prem, a match winner and play maker.. its alright, you got Lucas

• #3986
, most complete midfield distributer in the prem,
Along with Essien and Arteta
-
• #3987
will that make arteta the second best spanish midfielder in the premiership now?
-
• #3988
No, first. Fabregas a close 2nd

lucas neil had the choice of west ham or liverpool .... not that there's anything wrong with west ham but he manged to get 60K+ per week from them so he moved down here
i've watched him quite a bit and can say i'm glad he didn't end up at liverpool
now he's holding out for another prime contract buit there isn't a rich icelandic bloke in charge now so he's struggling to get the wages he wants -
• #3990
...and he's shit
-
• #3991
yup
-
• #3992
Along with Essien and Arteta
if i remember it was # of complete passes table sky did, Alonso was top then Denilson and Obi Mikel were swapping between second and third
Essien didn't feature too much last year.. which puts chelsea in the hunt this year!

• #3993
i am a fan of arteta and essien.. solid players both..
you can keep lucas neil though..

in reality he'll either sign back at west ham or go and form the west ham united second back line at sunderland.

It may have finished already...
..depending on who you support. :-(
He has a point after last night.
That, my friend, was your big chance to pour scorn on my pessimism and shout me down as a doubting Thomas. You could have been the fan who dared to believe in the face of inauspicious statistics. But you didn't, and now we both look like a pair of eejits. :-P
I saw it with my own eyes and I still cannae believe it - an away win in Europe.
